Change a Life: Giving Tuesday 2022

Our Goal $10,000
Raised $10,525

Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that supports nonprofit organizations that provide a voice to the voiceless. At Operation Paws for Homes, we act as the voice for four-legged friends who deserve a happily ever after. OPH depends on your generous donations to provide the medical treatment, transportation, fostering, and adoption services needed to place hundreds of homeless dogs and cats in forever homes each year. Please join us to support this life-saving campaign!

Operation Paws for Homes is dedicated to giving deserving cats and dogs a second chance at life. Some come from shelters where animals are kept out in the elements 24 hours a day. Some suffer from dangerous, life-threatening illnesses and injuries. At overcrowded rural shelters in the south, meager funding, underdeveloped spay/neuter programs, and a lack of adopters means that shelters are forced to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize animals.

That’s where OPH comes in. Every few weeks a group of dedicated volunteers transport animals north on their freedom ride. We also occasionally rescue international dogs by partnering with shelters in India and Kosovo who save dogs from dangerous and deplorable conditions. These rescued animals are placed directly into the arms of loving foster families to await adoption, and then their new lives truly begin. But that’s not the end of the story. Many of our animals require rehabilitation of some kind. Whether that be heartworm treatment, medication for a skin infection, or a spay/neuter procedure, OPH provides the needed medical attention for every single animal that comes into our care.

OPH receives no government funding, so we rely 100% on adoption fees and generous donations from animal lovers like you. Your contributions give the dogs and cats of our rescue a new lease on life and help prepare them for placement into a forever home.

Here are some examples of what your donation provides:

• $25 provides vaccination for a small puppy

• $75 transports one animal up to 600 miles to safety

• $100 spays or neuters a dog and prevents an unwanted litter

• $500 funds lifesaving heartworm treatment for a dog

The power to change a life is in all of our hands. THANK YOU for your generous support of animals who have been through so much, yet only ask for a loving home and a gentle touch in return.
