Hurricane Dorian is coming! Help Us Save More Dogs!

Our Goal $2,500
Raised $610

Every day, the shelter pulling team at Operation Paws for Homes receives pleas for help from our shelter partners in the south. When a hurricane is expected, those calls for help become even more urgent. The animals are flowing in, but the space is limited. Dogs will be put down due to overcrowding in the shelter and no budget to take care of them. With impending Hurricane Dorian, the situation is dire. Our shelter partners need to empty the shelters to prepare room for dogs who are misplaced during the storm.

Our rescue efforts cost an average of $225 per dog to transport, get core vaccines, vetting, and to be spayed/neutered. Sometimes unexpected medical needs arise after arrival. We get pleas for dogs that are sweet, young, healthy that found themselves in an unfortunate situation and ended up in a high-kill shelter. The dog cuddled up in your lap, came from the same situation. We would love to help more every transport, but we cannot do it with you!

Every dollar counts in the rescue world to save these precious lives, and we could save more if we had the resources to do it. Would you be willing to donate the price of your morning coffee or afternoon lunch to help save a dog in need? Operation Paws for Homes cannot do our life-saving work without YOU! Will you donate and help these dogs? Any funds raised over the cost of rescuing "hurricane dogs" will go towards future transport runs to rescue even more dogs in need.
