#1006 Mayflower

Adopted
Medium-size, Short coat length, Female, Young Dilute Calico x Domestic Short Hair,

Mayflower is a beautiful 6 month old girl with very rare, 1 in a thousand, coloring called Dilute Calico. (check this out: https://www.ivankhristravels.com/2021/11/dilute-calico-cats.html)
She is very friendly and loves being pet and scratched under her chin. She is still rather shy and skittish, but we are patiently working on her trust. She recently started to climb on her foster mom's lap to get extra love, but does not want to be picked up. She loves to play with toys that have ribbons and/or feathers.
She is OK around our very mellow dog but does get scared by loud sounds. She would do best in a calm household where she is given time to get acclimated and slowly build the trust.
She is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and ready to find her furever home.

Mayflower is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. Mayflower is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This cat's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
