#10355 New River Gorge

Adopted
Medium-size, Male, Adult Labrador Retriever,

Hi!
My name is New River Gorge and I’m part of the National Parks transport that arrived at OPH 1/8/2021. I am a sweet 9 month old black lab mix and I weigh around 35 lbs.
I’m super excited to meet you and become your best friend! I love to go on walks, but I’m also up for snuggling and watching TV. I tend to only get on furniture when invited, but if you invite me I will cuddle up close.

I would do best in a home with dogs close to my size or being the only dog. I enjoy playing with other dogs but I can get a little excited when wrestling which might be too much for smaller dogs.

🐾 New River Gorge is working on house training
🐾 He is comfortable in his crate and sleeps there quietly at night
🐾 He is super affectionate! He likes to get pets and give kisses!
🐾 He is working on walking on a leash and can have some reactivity to cars and loud noises like trucks.
🐾 The foster family does not have any cats or small children, so we are not sure how he will react

New River Gorge is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered. New River Gorge is currently being fostered in Ashland, VA.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
