Hi! My name is Remembering Sunshine 2021 aka Ice. I came to OPH 10/22 on the OPH Transport, named in honor of all the homeless pets waiting for forever homes in animal shelters and those who didn't make it out. I'm guessed to be a dalmation/terrier mix and guessed to be about 6 months old. I'm a sweet boy and I currently weigh around 49lbs. my foster dad thinks I’m gonna be a pretty big dog at about 70 lbs. I can’t really hear well, my foster dad says really loud sharp noises is all I can hear, but I’m a normal puppy and a smart boy. I learn fast and already learned if I go in my crate I get a treat or am eating. I can also learn hand signs quickly and know one for sit that I learned in one day. I walk well on a leash but need some practice and I might walk under your feet. I am shy at first with some dogs but play well with all dogs, even my big 80 lb foster brother. I met the cat next door and was curious but he didn’t want to be friends and scared me away. I’ve been in a house with two cats and was pretty indifferent about them. I live with 6 birds/parrots and pretty much ignore them except when I get snacks off the floor around their cages.
Im still learning about house training and I’m still a puppy so my house needs to be puppy proofed. I sleep in my crate well but want to be with my foster dad and brother so I may object for a few minutes before I settle down. I’ve slept out if my crate good too but if I wake before you, and you stay asleep, I might get into trouble by chewing something. I don’t make a lot of noise usually unless I want out of my crate, and like riding in the truck but am still practicing being calm all the time. Sometimes I want to drive.
You can see lots of pictures and videos of me and my foster family on Facebook “Colson’s Corner “ and TikTok “@Sombra1614”.
I'm made my way north in search of a new family. Is that with you? If so apply today! I won't be available for long!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
