Energy Level 3 - Enjoys walks, mental stimulation, and some playtime.
My name is Cemita and I’m guessed to be a 2 year old Feist mix and weigh approximately 34 lbs. My foster mom says strangers scare me and I will need A LOT of patience with a gentle adopter who lives in a quiet home. I have gained confidence with my foster-sister pup and will probably do best with a fur brother or sister to show me the ropes and and be a playmate! I am almost potty-trained too!
Cemita is very sweet & gentle but needs a patient experienced dog owner/adopter. No small children and a dog sibling would be very helpful!! With time and slow introductions she’ll open up and become your best friend!
Crate trained ✅
Good on a leash ✅
I'm a sweet blend of cute and happy and I've made my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today I won’t be available for long.
(What does my name mean? I'm named after the cemita, a Mexican sandwich that comes from the Puebla region of Mexico and is typically stuffed with fried meat, avocado, queso, chipotles, and papalo (a fragrant Mexican herb...YUMMY just like me).
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
