#11957 Big Yan (Feegles Pups)

Adopted
Small-size, Male, Baby Chihuahua,

Hi, I'm new to the world and looking for a loving home of my own. My mom is a chihuahua mix, about 12-15 pounds, but based on my current weight, I'm expected to be a bit bigger when fully grown, maybe even 30 pounds. Right now I'm focused on eating, sleeping, exploring, and playing with my siblings. I need a family that will be patient with my puppy shenanigans and teach me what I need to know to be the best good boy I can be.

My name comes from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, with the book: Wee Free Men. The Nac Mac Feegle are a type of fairy, about 6 inches tall, with red hair, blue skin, and red tattoos. The society is similar to bees, in that there is one female born per generation, and she will be the Kelda (ruler). They believe that they are already dead, and are in a sort of paradise afterlife where they are free to do whatever they want. This usually involves fighting, drinking, and stealing (but in a lovable way). Big Yan is the son of Big Aggie and is the biggest of the group, a giant at 8".

I am just a baby and my adopters should be respectful of my small size and puppy needs, such as not being left alone for more than 4 hours at a time, and to teach me proper manners with play, potty, leash walking and crating. In return, I promise to try really hard to make you proud and to give lots of puppy kisses!

Please note that because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccinations. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.

This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives and is available to go home as early as 7 June 2022.

Big Yan (Feegles Pups) is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has not yet been neutered. Big Yan (Feegles Pups) is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
