#12037 Basking (Shark Transport)

Adoptable
Medium-size, Female, Adult Hound,

Hi! My name is Basking Shark as I arrived on OPH's Shark themed Transport. I am a 2 year old hound mix and about 40 lbs. I go by "Lady" in my foster home because I'm so gentle and polite. My foster mom thinks I was a hunting dog that has never been inside before. I'm learning to love the inside life, but it's new to me so I need patience & time. I have learned that I loooove a warm soft bed and head scratches. I'm very nervous of change and loud noises, but find comfort in my crate and being with other dogs. My foster mom has human kids and they scare me a great deal, so I'd prefer to be in a quiet home that can be patient and loving with me as I figure out my new world. I'm a real sweetheart if you can take the time to let me get to know you.

Basking (Shark Transport) is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. She is best in a home without small children and is not suitable in an apartment, condo or other urban setting. Basking (Shark Transport) is currently being fostered in Smithsburg, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
