#13079 Muskrat

Medium-size, Male, Adult Mixed Breed,

Hi, my name is Muskrat!

Are you looking for a sweet, snuggly wiggle butt? Then I am your guy! I am guessed to be a 1 year old, Mixed Breed, and weigh about 36 lbs. That's right, I am the perfect size!

Let's cover the basics.... I am one smart cookie! I am house trained, crate trained, and know a few commands. I know "sit", "touch", and "come here", but if you have treats I am pretty much willing to learn anything. I love treats! I would do best as the only dog in the home! One thing I could work on is learning when jumping is appropriate. I can't help but to become a jumping bean when the ball comes out (see my pictures)! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Muskrat! However, I do sometimes also jump when I get excited for treats. Because I am a jumper, I would be better in a home with no younger children.

Let's move on to some of my other favorite things = being outside and playing with the ball. Do you like to go for walks? Me too! I'd be the perfect exercise companion or hiking buddy, because I love to explore the world. That's when the wiggle butt starts, you may find yourself struggling to get my harness on because I will be soooo wiggly. No time for a walk? That's quite alright, throw the ball for me and I'll be totally content. Ball is life!

Ok saving the best for last, my most favorite characteristic about myself is that I am a snuggle bug! After all those long walks on the beach at sunset (or around the neighborhood, same thing right) I like to cozy right up to my person on the couch. I am happiest when I can lean my whole body against you. Let's relax and recharge together!

Well thanks for taking time to get to know me! I can't wait till I find my adopter(s)! I am looking forward to having my person, who will love me, play with, take me on amazing adventures, and continue to train me. If you think I might be the right fit for you, apply today!

Muskrat Muskrat is currently being fostered in York, PA.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
