#13596 Hank

Adoptable
Male, Baby German Shepherd Dog x Mixed Breed,

Hi!
My name is Hank and I have made my way north in search of my forever home.
I’m guessed to be a 16 week old German Shepherd mixed breed dog. My weight at the moment is about 25 pounds. I still have some growing to do.

Here are a few notes from foster mom

- I potty outside every time I get taken out. I start whining at top of stairs when I have to go out.

- I love following my foster brother (60 pounds) all over the place outside. I love playing with my foster sister (50 pounds) inside.

- I have met the house cat and he is very interesting. I chased him once. He told me he didn't appreciate it. I am trying to leave him alone now.

- Foster mom thinks with proper introductions I will be good with cats, especially if they already know about dogs.

- I am ok in my crate while mom is at work. No crate accidents. I also sleep in my crate at night , but would really like a bed with humans.

- I mastered the stairs in only two days! Quick learner.

- I have learned sit, watch me, and working on down. I will do anything for food!

- I do need some practice leash walking.

I am a puppy and here are some things I am looking for in my future forever home.

- Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours. As I grow, I will be able to spend more time alone.

- Someone who understands I am still learning. I potty outside 99% of the time. But, accidents happen still.

- I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun!

- Click to see me with my toy outside running and here to see me playing with my foster sister and here to see me in foster care!

Please reach out with any questions or apply to meet me.
I can be your best cuddle buddy!

This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Hank Hank is currently being fostered in Glen Burnie, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
