About Abigail:
Abigail is a sweet and spirited little puppy from the Amazing A's Litter. At just 9 weeks old, she’s already showing signs of being a loving and playful companion. With her mixed breed heritage, she’s sure to grow into a beautiful and loyal dog, weighing between 50 and 65 pounds when fully grown.
Personality:
Abigail is full of puppy energy and curiosity. She loves to explore, play with her toys, and snuggle up for some quiet time. As she’s still young, she’s learning about the world around her and is eager to make new friends—both human and canine.
Special Considerations:
Abigail is searching for a forever home that understands her needs as a young puppy. Here’s what she’s looking for:
Companionship: Abigail prefers not to be left home alone for more than 4 hours, especially while she’s still a puppy. The older she gets, the more she’ll be able to handle being alone, but for now, she needs someone who can be patient with her if she has accidents or gets into mischief when bored.
Training and Learning: Abigail is excited to learn how to be the best dog she can be. She’s hoping for a forever family that will teach her basic commands and maybe even some fun tricks! Professional training will help her bond with her new family and become a well-mannered adult dog.
Love and Affection: Most importantly, Abigail is looking for someone who will snuggle with her, play with her, and love her forever. She’s ready to give her whole heart to her new family.
Health and Safety:
Vaccinations: Abigail has received 2 of the 3 required puppy distemper vaccines. It’s very important to keep her safe until her immune system is fully developed around 16 weeks of age. During this time, Abigail must stay out of public places where she could be exposed to germs, such as pet stores, dog parks, and shared spaces in apartments.
Microchipped and Up-to-Date: Abigail is microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives, so she’s all set to start her new life with you.
If you’re ready to provide Abigail with the love, care, and guidance she needs, she’s eager to meet you and start a lifetime of adventures together!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
