Meet Aspen from the Amazing A's Litter!
Name: Aspen

Weight on 8.27.24: 10lbs
Estimated Adult Weight: 50-60 lbs (approx.)
Breed: Mixed Breed
About Aspen:
Aspen is a delightful and energetic puppy from the Amazing A's Litter. She has playful spirit and affectionate nature. With her mixed breed background in mind, we believe Aspen will grow into a medium to large-sized adult, weighing between 50 and 60 pounds.
Personality:
Aspen is full of curiosity and enthusiasm. She loves to explore, play with her toys, and cuddle up with her favorite humans after a day of fun. Her friendly and loving personality makes her an ideal companion, ready to bring warmth and joy to her new home. Her foster mom just adores the way she bounces around on her short adorable legs.
Special Considerations:
Aspen is looking for a forever family that understands what it takes to raise a happy and well-adjusted puppy. Here’s what she’s looking for:
Companionship: Aspen would prefer not to be left alone for more than 4 hours at this young age. As she matures, she’ll be able to handle longer periods on her own, but for now, she needs someone who understands that she might have accidents or chew on things if left alone for too long.
Training and Growth: Aspen is eager to learn and grow. She’s looking for a family that will guide her with basic training and help her develop good habits. Professional training would be a great way to bond with her and ensure she grows into a well-behaved adult.
Love and Affection: Most importantly, Aspen wants a loving home where she can be cherished and cared for forever. She’s ready to give her whole heart to a family that will play with her, snuggle with her, and love her unconditionally.
Health and Safety:
Vaccinations: Aspen has received 2 of the 3 required puppy distemper vaccines. To keep her safe, it’s important that she stays out of public places like pet stores, dog parks, and areas frequented by other dogs until her immune system is fully developed at around 16 weeks of age.
Microchipped and Up-to-Date: Aspen is microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives, making her ready to join her forever home.
If you’re searching for a playful, loving, and loyal companion, Aspen could be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet her and see if she’s the furry friend you’ve been waiting for!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
