Meet Gerry! Looking for a dog with a big personality in a little package? Meet Gerry, the 12 lb mixed-breed bundle of energy and snuggles! At just 1 year old, this guy knows how to keep life fun. Whether he's zipping around the yard in a burst of speed or curling up in his bed for some serious relaxation, Gerry's always keeping it interesting!
He’s got a quirky side too. He is fostered with several other dogs, and occasionally will claim a bed as his own. Hey, we all have our favorite things, right? With a firm “no,” he gives up the prime spot to whoever is asking, and continues being his goofball self. And let’s be honest, Gerry's antics will have you laughing daily—you never know what funny thing he'll do next! Or he will be curled up with you if it is a full on nap and rest day. He reads the room and how to fit in perfectly.
Crate-trained? Check. Great with kids and dogs of all sizes? You bet! Whether he's teaming up with his brother Little Ben to play or making you laugh with his playful energy, Gerry is always up for an adventure. He’s got just the right mix of playful and chill, and he's ready to find his forever family.
Ready to add some joy and laughter to your home? Gerry’s waiting for you!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
