Hi, I’m Kody! I'm just a happy dog! :)

I’m a 5-month-old, 45 lb, neutered Black Lab mix, and I’m on the hunt for my family! I’m a sweet happy boy who’s still learning the ropes, but I know with a little help, I’ll be the best companion ever.

I would love a home that's near a dog park or has a yard for me to run and play. If my family has another dog for me to play, I would be so happy! I play great with other dogs. I’m even okay with cats—I don’t have much of a prey drive, so I’m happy to let them do their thing. I am very good about sleeping quietly in my crate.

At night, I sleep quietly in my crate, dreaming of all the fun we’ll have together. I’m still working on my basic commands like “sit” and “down,” but I’m eager to learn. After I’ve had my fun running around, I love to snuggle up for long naps.

I'm searching for…

- Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble.

- I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun!

- I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever!
