Our Dee Dee is sure to be the Darling of your hearts! She gets all A's for behavior and attitude! She's an adorable 5-year-old, 57 pound Lab/spaniel/hound mix who is a true sweetheart. She is a quiet, super gentle, very well behaved girl that just wants to be part of the family! She is house trained, gets along well with the other dogs and is quiet in her crate and not a 'barker'. She has such great manners that she is not even crated in her foster home. She looks big in some of these photos but is actually a petite little girl. At the shelter, she played well with her shelter mate, and does awesome with the all dogs. Darling is fostered with other dogs, has been around children, and is just a sweet quiet girl looking to spend the rest of her life with an amazing family. She loves to chase, retrieve and bring the ball back to you!
She received a perfect score on her evaluation at the Greenwood SC shelter, and arrived to OPH at her foster home in Alexandria, Virginia on March 29th and is ready to find her perfect forever home!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
