#5200 John Coffey

Medium-size, Male, Adult Boston Terrier,

Looking for a frisbee dog? Want a dog who will be SO HAPPY to see you every time you come home (or leave the room for a moment and come back)? Meet John Coffey! He is a 1.5 year old Boston Terrier mix. He will chase and catch a ball all day long! He's a happy-go-lucky guy who is athletic, energetic, and eager to please. This boy is ready is ready to play. John Coffey will make an excellent running/exercise buddy as he's a real pro on the leash.

He has a fun-loving and curious personality and will keep you entertained for hours. He's an absolute love who can't get enough of his people. He is crate trained and house broken. John Coffey is working on sitting on command and not jumping on people. He's the perfect size, weighing in at about 35 lbs but he's still pretty trim and could put on a few more pounds.

Just like his name sake from the Green Mile, John Coffey was pulled from death row in Aiken, SC. He entered the shelter at no fault of his own as a stray on August 28th. With such low adoption rates in his area, he had little chance until OPH found him. This boy is so happy he was given a second chance that his tail never stops moving.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
