Hi! I’m Mayalou, but I go by Mayzie! I’m about 3 years old , weigh 40 pounds and am a nice medium size girl. My foster mom says I am a pretty amazing pup and I am currently in search of a family to call my own!

Here are a few things my foster mom has learned about me:
-I would do best in a house - apartments and town homes are too busy for me .
- I need to have a decent sized yard for me to run and play, a farm would be even better as I love being in the country
- I like my personal space.... but doesn't every female?!! I would do best in a home without children or with children that are older than 12.
- I am extremely athletic, and would love
a person who would take me running or hiking, or even better, horse back riding!
-I do best with dogs who are calmer and the same size or larger than me. Puppies and high energy dogs who are in my face are just a bit too much for me to deal with.
- I am not too big into actual cuddling. I used to be feral, so it takes me some time to accept a strangers touch. love my foster mom! I am extremely devoted to my person and I love being near her,
-I really do not like the crate at all. I am perfectly fine being left out when my foster mom is not home
-Partial to females, but I am starting to learn that men are nice too because of this I would do best with a home that has a female as my main caretaker

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
