Do you think I'm handsome? I'm not so sure I am.....Oh, but I do hope you think so! I plan to "paddle" my way into your heart!

Hello, I'm Paddlepup! Did you know that petting a dog is good for your health? At 1.5 years old and about 40 pounds, I have lots of time to spend enjoying chest and ear rubs ( a little tushie scratch if you don't mind?). Maybe you like to play as well...I LOVE to play! I like it when my foster Momma throws a ball (or a stuffy and even rope toys) and I race to go get it. I bring it back to her most of the time, sometimes I like to play keep away with her 😉!

You can check me out playing gently with my foster's foster puppies by clicking here and you can check me out with my other foster friend by clicking here! You can also see me playing here.

Maybe you need a good walking buddy? I hope you like to take your time, because I sure do love to sniff around and see who or what has been on our path. Foster Momma calls my nose my sniffer and says I'm definitely a hound mix..... whatever that means. The shelter vets said I was a Lab/hound mix, but my foster thinks I might have some Mountain Cur in me.

I'm a love bug and want to be with my people. I am very smart and will catch on to your routine fast. I know SIT already. I am working on DOWN. I love to work for treats. I enjoy squeaky and rope toys and chewing on a nylabone. I sleep in my crate at night and go in there easily when directed. I ride well in the car. I do best with slow introductions to strangers and new doggie friends. I feel safe in my foster home. They love me and I want to please them.

My ideal adopter will make sure we both get training to help build my confidence a bit. I need an adopter to be my rock and look out for me. My foster Momma says I am a really good boy and I just need someone with patience to understand me. Someone to love me as much as she does and in return, I will be a loyal and protective companion. I will do best in a home without small children and no cats.

I have a guardian angel that thinks I am very special and has sponsored me. My adoption fee has been greatly reduced to help my new family adopt me.

Can I be your best friend? I am neutered and micro chipped too. Apply to adopt me today!

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
