Meet Furry AKA Mia! Furry is from India and is called a Desi Dog by the locals, which just means local "street" dog. Furry was found with a litter of four adorable puppies living on the street. Furry was having trouble nursing the pups, so the wonderful staff at Kannan Animal Welfare, a rescue center in India, took in and cared for Furry and her pups. Now Furry has come to the U.S. to find a family of her own.

Furry was adopted in the spring and her family said she was the BEST dog -- except that after a few months, she decided the cat was a dog toy. Oops! So Furry needs a home with no cats. But she loves people, including kids, and other dogs. In fact, she would love to have a dog friend to hang out with since she has done very well with both a large dog and a small dog as her current companions. She loves to go on walks, and she is very calm, relaxed, easy going, and loves to cuddle!

Furry is about two years old and weighs 34 pounds. Apply now to meet this adorable girl!

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
