Meet Charlie! Charlie is from India and is called a Desi Dog by the locals, which just means local "street" dog. The wonderful staff at KAW, a rescue center in India, found Charlie with a badly injured front leg that had to be amputated. Charlie is now fully healed and manages very well as a tripod, as you can see by clicking here!
This beautiful brindle boy is about 2 years old, house broken with minimal slip ups and crate trained. Working on walking on the leash and learning basic commands. Charlie is a very good boy! Charlie is guessed to be a shepherd and hound mix, though his foster mom thinks he also has pariah dogs heritage. At 41 pounds, he is perfect for sharing fun car rides to the playground, or hanging out on the couch watching movie marathons, though he definitely prefers the latter. Charlie is reserved, and can appear shy with new people, but once he knows you he'll be your BFF! His foster mom says Charlie is very playful and silly, and that he enjoys making friends with friendly dogs, but not with friendly cats :)
Charlie is looking for a family to call his own. Is that you? If so - apply today! This handsome boy will not be available for long!
