Hi! My name is Weston, I’m guessed to be a one-year-old yellow lab mix, and I’m 100% goof ball! I'm a big boy, currently weighing about 70lbs, but I can still be a lap dog! I don’t mind being in my crate, but sometimes I don’t want to go inside, but some encouragement helps. I go potty outside most of the time and, so far, I’ve only had one accident in my foster’s home. I’m quiet most of the time, except when I hear other dogs barking. I can’t help but answer back just to say hi! I LOVE walks and sometimes I get very excited on my walks and pull ahead of my foster hooman, but I’m working on my leash manners. It’s just that I like to sniff and explore everything and get excited and forget my foster hooman is behind me.

I’m smart and energetic, and sometimes my excited energy takes over and I jump up on people or things, but my foster hooman is helping me work on my manners. She says I’m a quick learner, especially if treats are involved! I’ve even learned to sit when asked, and I’m willing to try and learn anything. So far, I’ve been good with most dogs, I’ve ignored things called “chickens” while I was on a leash, but I barked at this big thing my foster hooman called a “horse”. What was that thing?! Everything is so new to me since I’ve been out of the shelter, but I’m learning!

I’m in search of my furever home. Is that with you? If so apply today! I won't be available for long! I can’t wait!!!!!!

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
