Hi there! My name is Cogsworth, but my foster mom calls me Beau. I just came in to OPH on 5/10/19, but I'm so glad these awesome people rescued me from the shelter! I'm a 4 year old Beagle mix and weigh about 22 pounds.
I love to do what Beagles do... sniff! Whenever I'm outside, my nose is to the ground- after all, that's what Beagles are meant to do. I haven't had any accidents in my foster home so far and am good in my crate, although, when you let me out, I get SO excited that I start to sing the song of my people. One of my favorite things to do (other than sniff outside) is to run around with all of my toys! I'm very food motivated and my foster mom is teaching me how to sit, but I would much rather just gobble up all the snacks. I'm always looking for something to do when I'm inside, so my foster mama has some fun enrichment things (like a snuffle mat or puzzle toys) to keep me busy! But don't get me wrong, I LOVE a good belly rub and some snuggles. I've done well with all the dogs I've met, and have even met some young kids with whom I was very patient with. I would love to be a part of a family who has someone to play with- dog or human!
I would do best in a home that has a yard for me to play and explore in or with someone who can take me out on a few "sniff walks" a day, as well as provide additional enrichment inside the home, to make sure I don't get too bored!
I'm a fun-loving guy looking for a family to call my own. Is that you? If so, apply today!
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
