Happy, sweet, snuggly, smart, gorgeous - and every other positive adjective you can think of accurately describe this amazing pup! Despite all of the positives, this little girl was scheduled to be euthanized because of her breed. However, OPH swooped in and, with the help of its dedicated volunteers, saved this wonderful girl.
This is Enigma, or Emmie, as her foster family calls her. She is a 6 month old female pit bull mix and weighs about 40lbs. Enigma does not have a mean bone in her happy little body. She loves everyone and everything she meets - which includes the cats in her foster home. Emmie is being fostered in a home with 3 other dogs, 2 cats and 2 children - ages 7 and 9. She has retained her happy and sweet demeanor with visiting dogs, and people as well as on outings to watch a lacrosse game or 2.
Enigma/Emmie LOVES to play with the other dogs in her foster home and LOVES her toys! Her favorite game is tug and she will play that with people and dogs. The cats do not seem interested in it. When Emmie is not playing, she can be found snuggling with the closest person on the sofa. She does not discriminate with her snuggling. Even visitors to her foster home get the privilege of Emmie snuggles.
Enigma/Emmie is a very bright pup! She knows "sit," "wait," "come," and will go in her crate easily for a treat. She enjoys the treats while training but the treats are not even necessary! Emmie just wants to please her people. She is extremely responsive to verbal cues and sounds. Emmie is also completely potty trained and has had NO accidents in her foster home. Her foster family reports that she is AWESOME!
Emmie will do well in almost any home that is willing to love, train and exercise her. However, because she is still a puppy, we recommend that she not go to a home with children under the age of 8.
Enigma/Emmie is up to date on her vaccines, spayed and being fostered in Cockeysville, Maryland.
