#1384 Maid Marian

Large-size, Female, Adult German Shepherd Dog,
Maid Marian is up-to-date on her shots and has been spayed. Maid Marian is currently being fostered in Boyds, MD.

I'm Maid Marian ! I'm about 4 years old, 65 pounds, and I appear to be a German Shepherd mix. I’m in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today!

I am a sweet girl who loves attention. I love belly rubs and nice walks. I love meeting new neighbors. I am getting along well with my foster mom’s dog, although she can be grumpy. I am good and quiet in my crate. I aim to please and I am motivated by treats! So far I have shown my foster mom that I know some basic commands. I’ll keep working with her and see if I can show her more. As far as house training goes, I was a little excited and confused after my long trip up and I had a potty accident the first night in my foster home. Since then, I have one additional accident, but I am usually good about going outside.

This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
