Who you going to call? Ghostbusters
Hi there! My name is Peter Venkman - Ghostbusters Crew and I am ready to help you. I've been in Virginia for about 8 weeks now and I'm ready to blast on out of my foster home into my forever home with you. I love it here with my foster family but a FOREVER family is what I really want.
Here are some fun things about me that my foster mom thinks you might like to know.
~ They say I am an Italian Greyhound/Feist mix. My foster mom feels that is a very good guess.
~ I'm about 6 months old and weight about 28 pounds.
~ I am a total love bug, you need someone to cuddle on the couch with you sign me up! I am 100% ready for the job.
~ I’m a bit shy at first but I promise, after a bit,we can be friends. Youngsters like me are shy lots.
~ I like my crate. I go lay in it at times just because I like it there. I sleep there all night too but if you want we can share your bed. I'd totally be up for that.
~ I'm a big boy and I know where to go potty. I run outside, do my business and am ready to head back inside to play or curl up on the couch again.
~ I'm not a big fan of outside just yet. I don't think I will enjoy living in the city in a super busy place. I may learn to enjoy it but it is going to take me a bit to get used to lots of things moving around. Especially if there are a lot of them at one time.
~ I love my foster kids. They are teenagers but they are fun. They like to cuddle on the couch with me too. I cuddle with everyone, I'm not picky.
~ I'm working really hard to learn fun things from foster mom. I know how to sit now and am working on shake. Slow and steady wins the race (and get's me more treats)
~ Treats? Did I hear the word treat? I am extremely food motivated. That means we can do lots of training session where I get treats and you get trained to feed them to me. Every day or so I promise to learn a new thing so we keep working on new things and I keep getting treats. Deal?
~ I've just about outgrown the naughty puppy phase. I still like to sneak a slipper now and then but for the most part your things are safe if you keep an eye on me.
~ Routine.....I LOVE a good routine. Do you know that when my foster mom puts her shoes on I am getting in my crate? I do. It gets me a "good boy" and a treat too! I like routine, it makes me feel secure when I know what is happening next.
~ Cats? Well, there is a cat here that does not like me much but my foster family says not to be upset by this because she is grumpy and does not even like the 3 BIG dogs who live here all the time. I have learned that I should stay away from her, she's got really sharp nails and is not shy about swatting at me if I get in her personal space.
~ I've not had any potty accidents in my foster home. My foster mom says my peeps will be very happy that I am potty trained. Just keep in mind the first day or so I may have an accident while we are getting to know each other but I know where to go potty so as soon as we get a routine down I should be good.
So, all these neat things about me. What about you? Do you like to read? I do, because that means a blanket and a warm lap. Do you like treats? Hey, me too. We should meet. My foster mom says I deserve a family soon so don't wait, apply quick for me.
Also, here are some video's of me playing with my siblings. I will melt your heart with my big bright eyes. You can see me playing with my sisters by clicking here. They found their people. I really need to find mine.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
