Utz is one of the smallest in his litter. He is light-boned and has short blond hair. He is happiest snuggling with his siblings, but he is friendly and the first pup up to 'assist' his foster mama when she enters the pen to do clean up.
He was born on October 21, 2019. At four weeks he weighs 4.11 pounds. Based on that weight, at this time his foster estimates that he will be 45-65 pounds full grown (but we're not making any promises!). If you'd like to see more pictures and stories of Utz and his litter, visit his foster mom's blog, www.anothergooddog.wordpress.com.
Please note that because this puppy is so young, this puppy has only received 2 sets of the required 3 sets puppy vaccinations. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. The puppy MUST stay out of public places where he could be exposed to the germs of many other dogs for another 8-10 weeks after he goes home. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.
This puppy is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and fostered in New Freedom, PA. Adoption day is 21 December!
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
