Hi, my name is Generous, and I’m looking for someone to love. I have moderate energy. Most of the time I'm very calm. I’m incredibly soft and love to be pet. I also like to play with both people and other dogs. I’m willing to adjust to any style of play. I’ll lay on my belly to play with little dogs, I’ll wrestle with rambunctious puppies, I’ll play tug of war with people and dogs, and love to play chase.
Potty trained, with a few accidents initially, but resolved once we got on schedule and I got comfortable with my new food. I am learning to walk on a leash, and can be very focused on squirrels, but my new no pull harness is really helping. I'm inconsistent with crates, but I do fine when left alone in a restricted area (two rooms), as long as there aren't obvious temptations around, like tennis shoes. I will likely need a basic training course for obedience and commands.
I love being outside. We recently started walking on a path in the woods and I absolutely love that. If you're looking for a hiking buddy, I'm your girl. I would also love to have a nice yard to hang out in, preferably fenced. Everyone I meet is struck by how sweet I am. I walk up to strangers to be pet and love to give sweet little kisses.
I'm guessed to be a shepherd mix and about 3 years old. I'm a sweet girl with a cute docked tail and I currently weigh around 45lbs.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
