Hi! My name is Magic, and I am two years old, and weigh about 30 lbs. I am a "Desi Dog" (a local term for "street dog") from India in search of a home of my own. I lived the early part of my life on the street in New Delhi and didn't get enough to eat, so I had rickets. Rickets is caused by a shortage of Vitamin D and causes bones to not develop correctly. I was rescued by Kannan Animal Welfare (KAW), a local animal welfare group, who nursed me back to good health.
I don't have rickets any more, but my leg bones will always be a bit crooked. But that doesn't stop me from living my best life! I can get around just fine, but I walk slowly -- so if you're looking for a dog would rather relax on the couch rather than take long walks, I could be the girl for you!
The nice people at KAW say that I am very sweet and calm and love people! I need to have calcium supplements as part of my diet, and my legs look funny, but otherwise I am very healthy.
I am coming to the U.S. on February 8th. Apply now to become my forever family!!
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
