My name is Russian Twist and I’m part of the fitness transport that arrived to OPH 1/31/20
I’m guessed to be a hound mix and estimated to be about 4 years old, but my foster thinks I might be younger as I have a lot of energy!!! I’m a sweet girl and I currently weigh about 52 lbs.
I love to play with my foster mom. I’m good at fetch with toys and balls, but really I just love to spend time with my human. I like to climb on her lap when she’s trying to do anything just so I can be close to her and she can pet me.
The only thing I love more than spending time with my humans is FOOD!! I just love food! All kinds. Dog food, treats, human food, anything I can get of the counters and the garbage!! I just can’t enough food, my hound nose leads the way and I follow it!!
I’m not completely house trained yet but foster mom says I can say I’m crate trained as long as you give me some treats for going in. But once in the crate I’m calm and quiet.
I’m making my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you! If so apply today! I won’t be available long!
This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
