My name is Dil Pickles, but my foster humans are calling me "Zazu," after the name the shelter
I came from gave me! I’m guessed to be a border collie/german shepherd mix, and estimated to be around 6 months old.
I’m a super sweet boy, and I currently weigh about 46 lbs.
I am the most loving boy, and want to give ALL the kisses and hugs, crawling into my foster humans'
laps whenever they are near! I am clearly a country boy, coming from the beautiful countryside of
Tennessee, and am learning for the first time how to go up and down stairs in my fosters' townhouse,
walk on a leash, and hear cars go by. I am hesitant at first, but the good news is that I want so much
to please my humans and am a fast learner! I am gaining confidence by the day.
Besides all of the kisses I give, my other most enduring traits are my incredible ears - one up and
one down - and my tail, which thumps with excitement every time my humans enter a room I'm in!
I am such a happy boy, get along great with my fosters' dog, and am a little shy but happy about
meeting neighbors who have come up to greet me. Also - I have not had a single potty accident in
my fosters' home, always waiting to go outside to do my business! I am learning to go into my crate
on my own, but once in, I settle quickly and quietly and sleep through the night, waiting in the
morning without a fuss for my humans to take me out. I am a great pack member, watching my
humans and their dog for what they are doing, and then gladly settling in to whatever that is -
whether going on a walk together, sitting down to eat dinner, or snuggling in front of a movie on
the couch. :)
I’ve made a big trip north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so, apply to adopt me
today! A boy this adorable and sweet won’t be available for long!
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
