My name is USPS and I’m part of the Hometown Heroes, who are all named over local heros who are working on the frontlines. I arrived in Northern VA on 5/15/20 and am being fostered in Alexandria, VA. I’m guessed to be a lab mix and estimated to be about 1.5 yrs old. I’m a sweet boy and I currently weigh about 45 lbs.
I am truly the best of all worlds if you are wavering between a puppy or a young adult dog! My given name is Rambo and I respond to it well. Initially when I got out of the van I was unsure of what was about to happen next; however, I warmed up to my foster mom quickly. I enjoy snuggling and play with toys with people, but am also content sitting on a comfy dog bed while she works. Over night I sleep in my crate without complaint and am fine hanging out in there when my foster mom has needed to run out for errands.
Since my arrival I have not had any accidents in my foster mom's home. I am still learning how to walk on a leash, but am not a "puller" I just need the confidence someone safe is with me to lead the walk. My foster mom says she's going to be super sad when I move into my forever home, but she believes I would enjoy a yard (even a small one) and she's not sure what her travel schedule will look like once life becomes more "normal" again. I can be silly and playful, but also sit back and chill.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
