My name is Post and I’m guessed to be a Rottweiler and estimated to be about 11 months old. I currently weigh a muscular 80 lbs and they think I will get to be well over 100lbs, wait until you see the size of my paws! I am a big boy full of love and goofiness. Although I look like a full grown dog, I am really a young puppy at heart with all the energy of a 4 month old. I am taking my time growing up and still have a number of puppy behaviors that I am working on. A single family home with a fenced yard away from the city would be best for a guy my size.
I am very energetic and not certain what to do it all the time so I would be best in a home with another confident/mellow dog that would like to take me under their paw and show me the ropes. I am not a fan of being crated if I can't see my human or my dog buddy and I am working on building my comfort in the crate. My ideal home would be with experienced dog parents, and another dog. Right now a home without small children would be best since I don't really know my own size - I wouldn't want to know anyone over accidentally. I am cautious around new sounds or surroundings and need a strong bond with my adopter to help navigate this new world successfully. I love playing in the yard, rolling in the grass, going for walks and frolicking - yes, the lost art of frolicking. I promise to give you lots of laughs with my goofy demeanor if you have patience to work with me!
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
