Adoption Pending
Medium-size, Female, Adult Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler),
Abbie- 9/11 Memorial Dog is up-to-date on her shots and has been spayed. She is best in a home without dogs and is not suitable in an apartment, condo or other urban setting. Abbie- 9/11 Memorial Dog is currently being fostered in Silver Spring, MD.

Hi! My name is Abby and my foster mom says that I am SUPER affectionate. I love to snuggle with her every chance I get and give kisses. One of my favorite places to be is in her lap. I’m part of the 9/11 Memorial Dog themed transport and named after Abby. She served as a Search and Rescue dog at the World Trade Center during the 9/11 Tragedy. I am SO honored to carry her namesake.
They say I look to be a Heeler mix and estimated to be about 1.5 years young. So I am still a pup and will likely need a home where I can play and go for walks or run in the yard. I currently weigh about 40lbs. My foster mom says I need to lose a few lbs to reach a healthy weight. I am looking for an adopter to love on and who will love me too. Maybe my adopter will even be a family. If I am the pup you want, I would love to meet you. Better apply today! My foster mom says I won’t be available long!

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
