Energy Level 1 - Is it time for a nap yet? Prefers naps over walks.
Hi all! My name is Benjamin and I just arrived with OPH from a shelter in Virginia. I’m about 8 years old and 30lbs… we’re working on the 30lbs part though because I’m definitely rounder than I should be. I love it up here in Maryland so far! There’s lots of fun food, treats, dogs, and people! I love snuggling up in a soft blanket, or circling till I find just the right spot on a cushy dog bed. I even surprised my foster mom and get the zoomies when she gets home from work or I’m super excited for dinner time. She said I’m the cutest! I’m always down for a sniff around the yard, and have started rough housing with my border collie foster brothers. I’m really content to nap and snuggle, or lay on the porch and watch the world go by. As far as daily life goes, I don't mind going into my crate if you throw a treat in and sleep well through the night but my foster mom has also just left me loose in the house and I just napped while she was gone. We’re working on house-training and I’m getting the hang of making sure I potty outside when we go for our sniffing adventures. I think we’d be a great match, don’t you?! Apply soon, I hope to have my forever family to snuggle before I know it!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
