Hello! My name is Trixie! I'm a mixed breed pup with a sweet personality, ready to give you all my love and loyalty. At 37 lbs, I'm the perfect size, don't you think? I arrived here in Frederick, MD, on 12/20.
My foster mom says:
- I’m a cuddler and love affection.
- I’m in potty training and doing pretty good.
- I like to talk, dog talk that is, & if I don’t get my way, I’ll try telling you about it.
- I don’t like to stay in the crate unless I’m eating. I’m still learning all kinds of stuff, so until I get all the house rules down, I have to stay in it when you’re gone.
- I was found underweight, so for me right now, I hunt for food, if you have some, look out! I’m learning my house manners.
- I love other dogs, children, and people, I do jump up and I am learning house rules.
- I love hugging and kissing people!!!
- I got to slow dance with foster family members over the holidays & I had fun with it!
- I was a little timid on the drive to PA, but was relaxed all the way back to MD, until we turned & stopped several times. They were wondering if I was a back seat driver because I kept getting up to see what was going on.
- I don’t like being by myself. I’m still getting to know where I’m at, all the new sounds, bangs, & booms.
- I am getting the leash thing down pretty good by following simple commands & getting treats.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
