PERSONALITY
Buddy is a sweet, playful puppy who loves engaging with his puppy siblings in his favorite activities which include chasing balls and playing tug. Afterwards, his next favorite activity is taking a long snuggly nap.

COMPANIONSHIP
He is just as much fun to be with when his puppy energy is showing in all its glory, as when he has tired himself out and is ready for a good snooze.

TRAINING AND LEARNING
Buddy is doing well with potty training and is learning to use pee pads in his crate. Also, crate training is coming along and this pup is eager to grow into his best self by mastering important skills like being able to stay quietly in his crate. Buddy is learning to play appropriately with his foster family’s two children. Since he is still so young, he is a bit mouthy like all puppies, and he is practicing things like taking treats more gently from his foster mom’s hand. He will need the right kind of supervision and training to help him be his best.

Buddy’s foster mom reports that Buddy is highly trainable and eager to learn. Of course, his littermates are distractions to him learning and Buddy’s foster mom is sure that Buddy will learn much better on his own, with his new family, especially if he is enrolled in formal puppy training.

LOVE AND AFFECTION
Buddy is a real snuggler. He enjoys being picked up by his foster mom and will say thanks by giving sweet kisses. Buddy loves his siblings and their foster mom sometimes finds them all snuggled into one big napping pile of pups.

IDEAL HOME
Buddy is searching for a forever home with someone who won't leave him home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until they’re older. The older he is, the more he can stay home alone. He will do best with a patient family who will understand if this little guy has accidents or chews things he is not supposed to if he is alone for too long. Buddy should be supervised around little kids while he is still learning appropriate play.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup who is sure to grow up to be a loyal and snuggly companion, this may be your guy.

Buddy - The Trio Buddy - The Trio is currently being fostered in Manchester, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
