PERSONALITY
Jasmine is a very friendly and social pup. She enjoys running around the yard and chasing her littermates.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Jasmine is part of a litter found in a remote wooded area of Mississippi, left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, a kind adventurer on a 4x4 rescued them and brought them to safety.
Jasmine can be a bit bossy with her food and is still learning that she doesn’t need to keep others away from her bowl.
Because she is so young, Jasmine is recently out of quarantine and since she has only had two of her required three distemper shots, she cannot go outside of the foster’s fenced yard so she has not yet begun leash training.
This little girl is too young to hold her bladder for more than four hours so she can’t yet begin crate training. She is, however, doing a good job going potty outside in the yard and using the pee pads when she’s inside
COMPANIONSHIP
Jasmine is full of puppy energy. She loves playing and napping in equal measure, loves humans and craves their company, whether hanging around her people indoors, or exploring the outdoors.
This friendly little girl enjoys following her humans around in the yard when they're exploring outdoors.
TRAINING AND LEARNING
Every day she learns new things about the world and about how to have good puppy manners.
Jasmine is doing a good job with her potty training, using the pee pads in her kennel overnight and keeping her kennel clean during the day with regular potty breaks. She also does a good job sitting for attention but she still needs to be encouraged to keep sitting or she will soon pop up, unable to contain her exuberance.
TRAITS AND IDEAL HOME
Jasmine would flourish in a home that offers plenty of love, patience, and consistent training to help her grow into a well-rounded adult dog.
LOVE AND AFFECTION
Jasmine loves to be held, get hugs, give kisses and sit in any available warm lap. In her kennel, she entertains herself while also entertaining anyone watching, as she engages in adorable play with tug toys, stuffed toys and Nylabones.
Jasmine’s journey from the woods of Mississippi to her foster home is a story of hope and love. If you’re searching for a sweet, gentle, and loving companion, Jasmine might be the perfect fit. Apply today to meet this precious pup and make her part of your family!
PLEASE NOTE
Because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.

This pup is too young to be spayed, and her future family will need to arrange for this at the appropriate time.
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
