PERSONALITY
Agnus is very young and full of puppy energy. Her foster family says she’s super sweet and snuggly and of course, it’s obvious how gorgeous she is. This happy, silly pup is easygoing and can entertain herself with toys, especially the crinkly kind!

COMPANIONSHIP
Agnus loves play time and naptime and exploring and romping with her sibling family and she will love you too if you bring her home to be your loving companion. Agnus’ foster mom says she is a talkative girl: “Not like barking but kinda like a beagle or a husky. I actually got her to sing with me.”

TRAINING AND LEARNING
Every day Agnus learns new things about the world and about how to have good puppy manners. When she is old enough, she will be eager to work with a patient family who can help her learn important skills like potty training, crate training and leash training. Since she is still young and in puppy quarantine, she is beginning potty training by learning to use a litter box with pine pellets. Agnus thinks treats are really great and that should help her focus during training. Her smart and curious nature should also help in her training. Her new family could teach her some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help her bond with her new family.

LOVE AND AFFECTION
Agnus enjoys getting attention but doesn’t demand it, and doesn't seek it out. She is just as happy eating or playing on own. She is sweet but reserved when it comes to interacting with people.

IDEAL HOME
Agnus will thrive in a patient family who can help her grow to become her best self. She is also looking for someone who won't leave her home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until she is older. The older she is, the more she can stay home alone. She just doesn't want her people to get mad at her if she has accidents or chews things she’s not supposed to when she is left alone for too long. She’s a puppy, so she gets bored quickly and when she’s bored, she could get in trouble. Since Agnus really loves playing with her puppy siblings, her foster mom thinks Agnus would do well in a home with another dog but Agnus is so easy-going that she would also do well as an only dog.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.
