Meet Coco – A Quiet Companion with a Heart Full of Love

Coco is a 5-year-old poodle mix with the softest curls and an even softer soul. This sweet girl is calm, gentle, and easygoing—an ideal companion for someone who appreciates the quiet joys of shared company.

Coco doesn’t ask for much. She’s content to lounge around the house, quietly observing the world with her deep, expressive eyes. She’s great with kids, other dogs, and strangers, and while she enjoys a good walk, she doesn’t need one to feel happy. She’s a dream on the leash and never pulls.

We believe Coco came from a backyard breeder, and while she’s still learning to fully trust the world, each day brings a little more curiosity and courage. If she gives you a gentle nose-nudge, it’s her way of saying, “I think you might be special.”

Coco doesn’t bark much, doesn’t guard her food, and she already knows a few cues like “crate” and “away.” She’s working on “sit” and learning to recognize her name. She adores head rubs—and if you stop too soon, she might sweetly ask for just a little more.

If you’re her chosen person, Coco will follow you with quiet devotion, happy just to be near. She’s looking for a loving, patient home where she can continue to blossom.

Coco Coco is currently being fostered in Vienna, VA.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
