About: Sydney

Personality
Sydney is a gentle and quiet girl who likes to sniff around on walks. She has been shy in the house, but loves to have her chin scratched, even by strangers! She is very polite around the other dog in her foster home.

Special Considerations
Sydney is currently getting used to her new environment. Right now, she chooses to spend much of her day in her crate. She would thrive in a calmer home environment to match her energy level. She's a quiet girl, making her a great fit for an apartment, rowhome, or other close-living environments.

Training and Learning
Sydney enjoys being outside on walks and has good leash manners. She does show interest in other dogs who walk by, but she stays quiet and just likes to look at them. She appears to be potty trained with no accidents in the house so far, and she loves her crate. She is still learning to feel confident going up and down indoor stairs. She is working on basic commands such as "sit." Sydney has good house manners and does not jump.

Energy level
So far, Sydney has been a calm girl who prefers to chill while in the house. She does enjoy going out for walks, but she moves slowly because she loves to sniff everything in sight! Prior to coming to her foster home, the shelter said that Sydney likes to play for a bit and then chill - so we expect she may become a little more playful as she gets used to her new environment.

Sydney is looking for her forever home where a new family will cherish her sweet personality and companionship.

Sydney Sydney is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
