About Luka
Luka is a tall and graceful Doberman Pinscher mix with a milk chocolate coat that’s irresistible to pet. At 4 years old and 72 lbs, she has the presence of a showstopper and the heart of a sweetheart. Luka is calm, gentle, and carries herself with elegance—but she’s never too dignified to lean in for a good ear scratch (and she’ll politely let you know when it’s time!).
A Well-Mannered, Loving Companion
- Incredibly Sweet – Loves attention, especially ear scratches, and returns affection with soulful eye contact.
- Smart & Willing – Learned “sit” in just 15 minutes! Food-motivated and eager to please.
- House Trained – No accidents so far—she’s got this whole home life thing down.
- Doing Well in Her Crate – Sleeps through the night and settles well with structure.
- Polite Outdoors – Interested in birds and squirrels but listens well when redirected.
- Great with Other Dogs - even her foster's "problem child". Smart girl.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
