Meet Bon Bon – The Sweetest Snack in Town
Bon Bon isn’t just her name—it’s a warning. Once you meet her, you’re going to fall head-over-heels in love.
At just 5 months old and 36 pounds of floppy puppy perfection, Bon Bon is basically a marshmallow with legs. She’s got a soft coat that feels like heaven, soulful eyes that say “pick me,” and a heart so full of love it barely fits in her puppy-sized crate (though she will sleep in it like a polite little lady).
A Few of Her Favorite Things:
- Zoomies in the yard – graceful as a baby giraffe on roller skates.
- Outdoor adventures – she’s your backyard BFF.
- Sneaky shoe theft – she won’t destroy them… yet. But she will parade them around like a prize.
- Snoozing at your feet – a total cuddlebug who just wants to be close.
- Other dogs – she’s a respectful player, takes cues like a pro, and would love a furry sibling to pal around with.
📋 Report Card:
✅ Housebroken (with just a few “oopsies” during orientation week)
✅ Crate-trained (but come on, can’t she sleep next to you?)
✅ Knows "sit" and responds beautifully to doggy signals
✅ Food and toy polite (no drama here!)
✅ Mild leash chaos – but she’s working on it. Practice makes perfect!
✅ Expert in outdoor lounging and amateur in chicken observation (interested, not chase-y)
Ideal Home:
Bon Bon would thrive in a home with another dog buddy or as your one-and-only fluff nugget. She hasn’t met kids or cats yet, but her easygoing, sweet personality suggests she’d adapt just fine. She’s low-maintenance, fun, affectionate, and funny without even trying.
Honestly, if love had a fur coat and four paws, it’d be named Bon Bon.
Ready to welcome this sugar-sweet pup into your life? She’s packed and ready to steal your heart—and maybe your sneakers.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
