Hi! My name is Miki, and I’m a gentle, affectionate lady who’s ready for a loving home where I can enjoy my golden years. At 13 years young, I’m a calm and sweet companion with a heart full of love to give. A recent change in my previous owner's life meant I returned to the OPH family, and while the transition was challenging, I’ve adjusted beautifully thanks to the love and care from my OPH friends.
Personality
I’m a friendly, laid-back girl who loves spending time with people and other dogs alike. Whether I’m sunbathing, enjoying a short walk, or snuggling up right by your side, I’m happiest when I’m near my humans. I’m clever and know my basic commands, plus I’m always up for some gentle tug-of-war until I hear the treat bag open!
Energy Level
I am a lovely lady. I’m working on strengthening my back legs with exercises recommended by my vet. I appreciate help going up and down the stairs because it is difficult for me, and I'm scared of slipping and falling.
Skills and Training
I’m fully housetrained, well-mannered, and know my basic commands. I’m also a quick learner who listens well. I love treats and have a soft spot for belly rubs, bananas, and gentle playtime with soft chew toys.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
