It's Clear the Shelters 2025 and we’re ready to join in the fun!

This is the annual nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign organized by NBCUniversal Local, in partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Greater Good Charities. The goal? Find forever homes for pets in need and raise awareness about pet homelessness — and of course, celebrate the joy of adoption!

Our Dates:
We’ll be participating August 15 through September 15, 2025.

Special Adoption Fee Reductions:

Dogs over 6 months old: $50 off the adoption fee

Cats over 6 months old: $25 off the adoption fee

Several dogs already have a $0 adoption fee, fully covered by generous sponsors

Please mark your calendars for our Paws and Claws Vendor & Rescue Fest on September 20th at Porters Fire Company (1199 Porters Road, Spring Grove, PA).

Please get ready for an exciting event filled with vendors, rescue groups, and plenty of fun.

OPH will have a vendor space and OPH volunteers will also be selling crafts with partial proceeds to benefit the rescue. Standby for more information as it becomes available!

Tabby Trappers will be microchipping pets for $20 so if your pet is not microchipped please bring them along!

Proceeds go to Operation Paws for Homes – Animal Rescue

When: Friday, September 26, 2025
Where: Hickory Heights Golf Course - 5158 Lehman Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362
Time: Shotgun Start @ 9:00 am
Cost: $65 per player (includes golf, drink cart on course, lunch, and prizes)

Lunch this year will be pit pork BBQ dinner with baked beans, potato salad, chips, fresh fruit, cookies, beer and soda.

• Mulligans: 3 for $5 donation (maximum of 3 mulligans per golfer)
