Hi, I’m Teddy, an 11-month-old mixed-breed pup weighing a handsome 35 lbs.

Life hasn’t always been easy for me. Found at a very young age, I showed signs of being on my own for a while. Since then, I’ve navigated through uncertainty and challenges, yearning for a safe forever home. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to find refuge in foster homes where kind-hearted families have shown me patience, compassion, and love. They’ve helped me overcome some of my fears - I’m forever grateful.

My Dream Home:

I’m not perfect, and I need a family who accepts that and who will dedicate themselves to helping me grow and thrive. I’ve never lost hope – hope that there’s a family out there who will recognize my potential and give me a lifelong commitment.

My Hopes:

1. Patient Guidance: I’m still learning what it means to be a dog, and I need a family who will guide me through life’s ups and downs with understanding and love.
2. Playful Companionship: With a furry sibling or two by my side, I'll learn better "to dog" and experience the joy of shared adventures.
3. Outdoor Space: A fenced yard where I can run, jump, and play to my heart’s content is essential for my happiness and well-being.
4. Memorable Moments: From playing ball in the yard, to sharing popcorn watching TV, to cozying up in bed, I want to create memories with you that will last a lifetime.
5. Unconditional Love: Above all else, I crave love – the kind that sees past my scars and embraces my imperfect beauty within.

Could you be the light at the end of my tunnel? If so, I’m ready to become your faithful companion and the furry love of your life. Together, we can embark on a journey of healing, hope, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Are you in?

Teddy He is best in a home without small children and is not suitable in an apartment, condo or other urban setting. Teddy is currently being fostered in Hughesville, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
