Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) volunteers are traveling to India in February 2020 to rescue street dogs. They will volunteer at OPH's partner Kannan Animal Welfare (KAW), an animal rescue organization in New Delhi, India. Many dogs living on the street are hit by cars, develop serious medical conditions, and suffer from malnutrition. KAW rescues sick and injured dogs and provides medical treatment. Some lucky dogs are then transported to OPH to find loving forever homes in the U.S. We are raising funds to bring six dogs to the U.S. with the OPH volunteers.
Your dollars in action 2019: Check out these numbers: -OPH is on track to rescue more than 1,100 dogs and cats! -OPH is on track to exceed delivery of 45,000 pounds of supplies to needy shelters! -OPH is on track to almost triple our spay and neuter impact of community pets this year. We expect to reach around 350 community spays and neuters for 2019 which can reduce numbers of shelter intake by thousands! Please consider making a donation to OPH this year. Together we can make a difference in lives everywhere! Let's make 2020 the best year yet!
Giving Tuesday is an international online giving event that supports nonprofit organizations who are the voice for those who need. At OPH Rescue, our mission is to support four-legged friends who deserve a second chance at life. This Giving Tuesday we need YOUR help to support animals who have been abandoned and discarded. After nearly a decade of rescuing animals as OPH Rescue, we’ve changed the world for so many dogs and cats…. And families who share memories, stories and their lives with these deserving animals. Join us this Giving Tuesday in changing the world for more!
Let's celebrate one year with your furry friend! OPH adopters can pay-it-forward when they donate in honor of their pet's 1 year adoptaversary.
*Update! Because of a generous grant from Bissell and that we have completed 269 spays and neuters towards our goal for 2019, we have adjusted the amount needed to reach our target! It only takes about $2000 for us to have 25 pets altered in underserved communities. We call that a spay day. These spay days can have huge impact on the surrounding community and massively reduce shelter intake. The result is lower euthanasia rates. For each $2000 we raise, we will schedule a spay day and post about it here. One spay day can prevent the births of more than 250,000 animals.
