#13834 Christina

Adoption Pending
Medium-size, Female, Adult Mixed Breed,

Hi. My name is Christina. I’m guessed to be a 1.5 year-old mixed-breed dog. My weight at the moment is 51 pounds. I’m a very sweet girl in search of my forever family. My foster family is patiently teaching me to be potty trained. I was confused at first but now I am getting the hang of it. I sleep through the night in my crate and I am usually happy to quietly spend time in the crate when I am awake too. Sometimes I might get vocal in my crate to let you know that I would really rather have some attention from my humans. When walking on a leash, I am mostly good and gentle and I am not bothered when people or other dogs approach but I do tend to get excited when I spot wildlife that I would like to chase. I know not to jump up on people but sometimes when I really need a belly rub, I might roll over a bit to enthusiastically and knock into your knees! I don’t bark much and I have polite manners in a home. I am very affectionate with human children and my foster family says I have not shown any fear of any specific situations, people or places. I am usually very calm and happy to sit with my human family and overall, I have a medium energy level. I definitely have the energy to play and take walks. I have fun playing with other dogs and I don’t get too rough. I am quite curious about cats but with some training, I could learn to co-exist with them. I would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who will patiently help me learn to be potty trained and to help me learn not to pull on a leash when I want to chase wildlife. I would love a home with at least one human child and maybe another dog too. We will be great friends.

Christina Christina is currently being fostered in Silver Spring, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
