#13933 Mary Cassatt (Artist Pups Mom)

Medium-size, Female, Adult Shar Pei x Mixed Breed,
Energy Level 3

Energy Level 3 - Enjoys walks, mental stimulation, and some playtime.

Hi, my name is Mary Cassatt, and I'm thought to be a Shar-Pei mix (with something else adorable). I'm about 1 year old and weigh 47 lbs. I am a sweet girl who greets my foster mom with the biggest body wiggle every time I see her. With my extremely short coat, I am also low shedding.

I just finished weaning my puppies and I'm ready to be just another lovely adult female looking for a home of my own. I'm doing great with the other dogs here and I'm super submissive. My foster mom will post updates on how I'm doing with walks and other good doggy activities as I get introduced to them.

I’m scheduled for spay on July 23rd and will be able to go home with my new family shortly thereafter.

About Me:

Breed: Shar-Pei mix
Age: 1 year old
Weight: 47 lbs
Coat: Extremely short and low shedding
Personality: Very sweet and gentle, a little tentative in new situations, but loves hard when she feels comfortable

Social Skills:

-Great with other dogs
-Super submissive
-Loves to greet people with enthusiasm

Fun Fact:

Just like my namesake, Mary Cassatt, the renowned artist known for her sensitive portrayals of women and children, I have a gentle and nurturing spirit. Cassatt's work was often characterized by a delicate touch and warm affection, similar to how I interact with those around me. Though I might be a little tentative in new situations, once I feel comfortable, I love deeply and form strong bonds with my human companions.

If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, and loving companion, I might just be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find my forever home and share all the love I have to give!

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
