#14053 Scarlett

Adoption Pending
Medium-size, Female, Adult Mixed Breed,

Hi! My name is Scarlett and I’m a 2-year-old mixed breed currently weighing 34lbs. I love meeting new people and am happiest when I am getting all the attention from my foster family. One of my favorite activities is rolling around in the grass. I enjoy being outdoors, whether that is going on walks, chasing squirrels, or frolicking in the backyard. However, I also need my beauty rest and enjoy lounging around. My foster mom is very impressed with my leash skills, especially when I go on walks with our resident dog. I am both house trained and crate trained and love spending time in my crate during the day. I am still a bit skittish and big, quick movements make me timid, but my foster family is helping me feel safe in my new place. Since coming to my foster home, I have mastered going up and down the stairs and am working on basic commands. I am doing a good job getting along with the resident dog and we are becoming fast friends. My foster mom says that I would make a great companion for someone living in a house or an apartment and could do well with another dog in the house or as the only dog- I’m a pretty easy going girl.

I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness won’t be available for long!

Scarlett Scarlett is currently being fostered in Arlington, VA.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
