Energy Level 3 - Enjoys walks, mental stimulation, and some playtime.

Calling all hound lovers – Snoopy could be your boy! This sweet boy is 56lbs of pure love. Listed as a mixed breed, he has short white and tan hair along with adorable spots all over his body - most notably on his snout. He seems to be part hound, and loves to chase squirrels! Snoopy is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. At 1.5 years old – he has a fair amount of energy as expected for young pup, but also enjoys quiet time and snuggles on the sofa. Given the chance, he’ll crawl in your lap for cuddles! He’s very affectionate and has never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a wagging tail! He has exceptional crate manners – he will go into the crate willingly for quiet breaks and take naps (see video 3). Unlike most hounds, he doesn’t seem to bark that much. Snoopy loves toys, bones and stuffed toys. He is also responsive to training and quickly catches onto routines. With a heart of gold, this boy aims to please! Snoopy has a natural preference to go potty outside, when kept on a schedule we avoid accidents. As a young dog, he will need typical basic training. Snoopy loves to play with other dogs, he is an outgoing young boy who sometimes doesn’t realize his own size and would do best with older children. Snoopy is a very loyal pup looking for a family to call his own - could it be you? Apply today!

Fostered in Silver Spring, MD, Snoopy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Snoopy Snoopy is currently being fostered in Silver Spring, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
